Specialised Sessions

It has long been recognised that physical activity is beneficial to those on the autistic spectrum. This is why Jump Xtreme offers these dedicated sessions.

The phrase "Rebound Therapy" was coined by E.G. Anderson, in 1969 to describe the use of trampolines in providing therapeutic exercise and recreation for people with a wide range of special needs.
Participants range from mild to severe physical disabilities and from mild to profound and multiple learning disabilities, including dual sensory impairment and autistic spectrum.

“Rebound Therapy is used to facilitate movement, promote balance, muscle tone, promotes relaxation, sensory integration, as well as improving fitness and exercise tolerance, whilst aiding the development of communication skills.”

Our autism friendly sessions are designed specifically for those people on the autistic spectrum, and their families, to enjoy.

What makes the Jump Special Jumpers session beneficial?

  • The number of participants is kept to a minimum, and the trampolines are available for that session only.
  • There is no stress involved and the music is turned down.
  • A parent/career can enter the trampolines for free when accompanying the participant and is encouraged to take part in the session.
  • There are complimentary drinks and treats for all participants following the session.

Please note: We welcome all children/adults with special needs, however they must be accompanied and supervised AT ALL TIMES by a responsible carer (ages 18yrs plus). If you have any concerns then please contact the park prior to booking and speak with a member of staff.
